Malaysia Day - Midnight Edition

Today we are celebrating the 42nd anniversary of the formation of Malaysia. So much had been done during those years, so many people were involved.

Alas, not all is well. East Malaysians look at West Malaysians with suspicion, West Malaysians doesn't know anything about East Malaysians. This thing has been going on for many, many years now. Without proper attention, Malaysia's unity will be cracked...

Happy Malaysia Day.

Happy Malaysia Day!

Oi! Not all W.Malaysians don't know about Malaysia Day.. I think those who are aware of it should play a more active role to raise the awareness.

Happy M'sia day!
Honestly speaking, I did not enthuaisticly celebrate 31st August last month. I was flying back to Kuching from Miri as if it was just another ordinary day. No significance at all.

Surf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia#History

The facts are clearly stated there. There was no M'sia prior to Sarawak + Sabah joining in.

I rather celebrate Gawai.

I rather celebrate Gawai myself too.

I do agree with u abt the west malaysians not KNOWING a tiny bit abt east malaysians - that most of the bumiputras are actually are the natives of the lands aka THE FIRST CLASS CITIZEN. My first experience of racism was in ITM KCh unfortunately by the west malaysian malays. as if we werent good enuff to be in that shit school anyway. then i came to KL 5 yrs ago. Racism was more OBVIOUS here than i could imagine hence the "tahap kemajuan sitok la" - how sad can it be to find out that it's far more worse here in KL. I was never bothered with discrimination it just cos of the mentality that is so low u just have to forgive those who have an IQ of zero. However, exactly one and half month ago my bf(a west m'sian chinese/portuguese blood) and i(iban/chinese/melanau) wanted to buy an apartment before we got married. Can u imagine - i was asked to declaration to PROVE I WAS bumi so i could enjoy that stupid 5% discount for bumi. I got hell for it. They had no idea that there bumis who arent malays. until i had to scream to them that it is written in the federal constitution article 153. west malaysians need to be re-educated abt how KL came abt in the first place. ANd at least tell the difference between Sabah and Sarawak where Sabah is not a township in Sarawak. I could go on and on abt it - in the end my blood level will reach to a boil and explode.
