Lucky Me!

Found this 1896 1/4 cent Sarawak coin in a hole on the floor of a Form 3 class (not my class, of course). Was sitting at a table looking around when I noticed a dark, circular thing covered in dust in the hole the size of a fist. I dug it out and immediately went ballistic.

Observe:
SARAWAK 1/4 CENT 1896
Reverse:
C.BRO**E RAJAH
Condition: Moderately Damaged.

Main question: How did it get there? Was a student bringing his collection to the school? Or was it stuck in the sand, before the construction of the school?

Either way, heh heh heh.
